Just back from a lovely long weekend in Kenmore with my wife and our best friends John and Jennifer.
The photographs are the result of an early morning walk, I hope you like them.

I had an afternoon out with my friend Hayley earlier this week.
We travelled less than a mile from her house to a spot between Crook of Devon and Rumbling Bridge for the first few shots.
Then we moved to Loch Leven for the sunset (which failed to appear due to clouds on the horizon).
All in all a welcome break from life on a cold winters day.
- A tiny waterfall into the main stream.

A close up shot with a small ice formation.

The main stream cascading down on its way to the Rumbling Bridge Gorge.

A jet crosses the path of the moon. I don't think Mary Queen of Scots would have seen that from the island !!!

A lonely little tree blown down by the gales on the shore of Loch Leven at dusk.

Here are a few images from Rumbling Bridge and Dunkeld taken over the last week. Not ideal lighting conditions on either day, but good fun all the same.

Shot from just above The Hermitage.

Shot from the viewing point at The Hermitage.

How does this little tree survive growing on top of these rocks ?

I love black and white. The texture really stand out on these rock formations.

Taken on a walk up by the Dunkeld Hilton Hotel. The "Big Stopper" was used to extend the exposure time. This then turns the water into a molten metal like state. Again much nicer in black and white.

A combination of three images due to the relative darkness in Rumbling Bridge gorge.

My favourite shot from Rumbling Bridge. It has an almost 3D effect, and the colour rendition suits my style of working.

Once again a combination of 3 shots. Very difficult lighting conditions as I was shooting straight into the sun, which gave very bright highlights and very dark shadows.

A look back to my last holiday in Cyprus.
I normally only take my great Canon G11 compact on holiday, but on this occasion I went armed with the 5D11, polarisers and ND Grads.
I had a great time shooting some fine sunsets.
I hope you like them.

This is the very first blog post for me and is very special for more than one reason. Matthew is my son and I gained a beautiful daughter-in law in Sian on this very special day. The day was due to be wet and windy, but someone was looking down on us and gave us a great day with the wedding ceremony taking place outside at the superb Keavil House Hotel in Crossford.
I hope you enjoy the photographs as much as I enjoyed taking them.
